Kick Start Green Smoothie Bowl 

This may seem like an odd title to you, but I am currently battling my way through the first week back at school. So far I can say that having physics, advanced functions and chemistry back to back to back is not exactly ideal, but I mean things could be worse, right? Anyways, this is the perfect kick start to a busy day. You’ll probably notice that I have a serious thing for green smoothies as I’m sure that many different variations will appear on this site as time progresses, but who doesn’t like a good green smoothie? Or two? Or four?

Kick Start Green Smoothie Bowl

Serves 2 

2 large ripe bananas

4 kale leaves, torn

1/3 cup celery, chopped

2 tablespoons hemp seeds

1 cup mixed frozen tropical fruit (I like to use a mix of mango, papaya and pineapple)

2 cups almond milk or milk of choice

1/2 cup avocado

Juice of 1/2 a lime

  • Combine all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. You may need to add more milk depending on the consistency that you desire.
  • Transfer to two bowls and top with your favourite toppings.
